It is quite conspicuous that water is
very necessary for the sustainability of life, and in the contemporary
society, light is very germane to the availability of water. The total black out in the school hostels despite the fact that there is always light in the school community inadvertently occasioned water scarcity in the hostel.
The information gathered by the ESUT NEWS, has it that the Students’ Union Government of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, led by Comr Udeh Michael Nwachukwunyere, has swung into action to remedy the situation.
In a statement issued by the SUG P.R.O, Comr Donatus Okolieuwa (Dona4All), he implore the Students to exercise patience as efforts are being made to urgently arrest the situation and foster a lasting solution.
The SUG PRO, noting the importance of light in the school hostel, especially at this period of examination preparation, assured the Students that the school management and the SUG leadership will not relent until the best is achieved for the Students.
Meanwhile, the Union’s leadership are not leaving all their eggs in one basket as they devised an alternative to supply water to the hostelers. An undisclosed source said that there was a surplus water in the hostels this morning, and such will continue unabated.
